The innovative Philips LAN Docking Station adds an entirely new dimension to PC-free file transfer It allows dictations to be transferred via LAN from the Digital Pocket Memo directly to the transcriptionist. Free of geographical constraint: dictations can be sent to any destination, whether to the room next door or anywhere in the world. There is no need to connect the docking station to a PC, no need for software, and only minimum user training is necessary. It can also be set up and maintained via remote configuration. Encryption and password protection on the Digital Pocket Memo ensure that dictations can be sent securely over the company network or the Internet
The software is installed using an installation wizard. This program guides you through the steps of the installation process and helps you in the installation of any required 3rd party solutions. This software supports Windows 2000 (SP4), Windows XP (SP2) and Windows Server 2003. It is recommended that you have the latest available Service Pack installed for all supported operating systems. The software requires Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1, Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 and Microsoft Core XML Services (MSXML) 6.0 to be installed on your computer. If a required software could not be found on your computer, the installer displays a warning and directs you to the official download homepage.

Philips Administrator Tool
The optional Administration Tool (LFH 9161) can be used to manage and update several LAN Docking Stations remotely. The Administration Tool allows the network administrator to quickly overview the status of up to 100 LAN Docking Stations connected to a network and make configuration changes to them from a centralized user interface.
