CAPABILITIES SUMMARY Easily create digital audio files with a desktop microphone or mobile handheld Fully automate the direction of those files to any other user on your network or outside Monitor the status of your dictation instantly from your desktop Effortlessly shift the dictation between users anywhere on or outside the network Quickly and easily create customized reports on any historical data associated with the dictationBENEFITS SUMMARY Very little end-user training; the process, from their perspective, is almost identical to the analogue tapes they are used to utilizing Cost recovery tools allow the firms to recover costs for overtime or outsourced transcription Easily integrates into the other applications your law firm uses Central management console allows one person to view, assess, and reassign work in seconds from the desktop Automated Workflow is customized to adapt to your law firm Work may be instantaneously transmitted anywhere for completion, including outsourced to the stay at home labor force Reporting capabilities of digital files allow for true work and production assessment Swift return on investment Remote users, either dictating or transcribing, can be accomodated Dictation files are controlled by the Network and backed-up, so never subject to loss or destructionOur privately licensed file format, the .iaf, powers the Verdatum system. The most powerful audio file format ever engineered, the .iaf permits non-destructive editing as well as real-time compression that results in a file 1/10 the size of an equal length .wav file. However unlike other formats the file also permits the insertion of text, data, Interwoven/iManage™ Worksite links, or any other file material into the audio file. Markers can be added to the audio file at anytime, making indexing easy. Authors may set the time that file completion is due, or they may mark them urgent to move them up in the queue. Each audio file also keeps track of its own history, storing metadata like Author's Details, Subject, Matter Number, Duration, Recording Time, Priority, Typist Details, Transcription Time etc. all within the file. Unlike other systems, it does so on the file level, rather than the server level, easing the administrative burden and increasing the reliability of the system. Take the Product Tour >> Back to Top
Dictation is done through a microphone virtually identical to the ones used by most dictation professionals. It is also done on mobile handhelds. The dictation is handled by the Verdatum recorder, which acts exactly as a desktop machine. Once dictation is complete the author sends the file over the network through our automated workflow, which is fully cusomized to your law firm. Transcription is done through the Verdatum player, using a headset and footpedal exactly like the ones utilized by transcription professionals today. Once the dictation is transcribed, the document is returned to the author with just one click Verdatum utilizes a proprietary system, transcription-in-progress (TIP)™ tracking, to make transcription easy. In the event of an interruption in the transcription process, such as for a break or the end of the workday, the audio file when reopened automatically resumes playing at the spot where transcriptionist concluded, and the cursor is returned to that same spot in the word processing document. The audio files may also be split among several people to facilitate transcription needs Management of the audio files, while they reside in the document management system, is done through the Verdatum manager. At the heart of the Verdatum process, this system allows for real-time assessment and management of dictation wherever it exists in the law firm. Through the manager workflow can be monitored and dictation can be shifted between users by simply dragging and dropping. At a glance managers can determine what stage of production files are in. Environment preferences can be configured here, and reports on the performance of authors and transcriptionists are also obtained here. Remote users can utilize either their Olympus or Philips hand recorders to record their dictation and then seamlessly import it into the Verdatum system. Dictation is auto-profiled and then subject to the Verdatum management and control. Quality assurance is facilitated by an automatic workflow that shifts the audio files and documents through the enterprise according to a pre-determined path. Back to Top
Wireless dictation software is the very latest in digital dictation solutions.
Instead of a traditional hand held digital recorder that only offers a
record/play function and then requires connecting to a computer to download
voice files. The new wireless dictation allows many more features instead of
dictation. Sending voice files can be carried out directly from the recorder
without any docking to a computer. You can still dock the recorder if desired
but really there is no need. You also have the ability to send voice files via
Lan,
WLan, WiFi, Email or
FTP. Also copy and paste from Windows Explore. The dictation features are many
with a basic digital dictation feature plus an advanced, structured or form
dictation choice. Interview recording is also possible that allows a tamper
proof recording. The voice files are the smallest digital dictation files
available in
Australia. Control the functions via buttons or use the on screen commands
offered by the recorder.
Record in the office or when away as a mobile recorder.
No cables, cords, PC required for recording voice files.
The
new
wireless dictation software when loaded onto a Pocket PC recorder with phone
option will allow the fully featured digital dictation plus your
mobile
telephone,
Windows email send and receive
and several Pocket PC functions all in the one unit.
If working away from the office, simply
dictate
and when finished
send highly compressed and encrypted voice file to anywhere
required for typing or listening. All typing
software’s catered for.
One unique features is there is no need to type an
email any more as we offer the ability to press a button and do a voice email
reply to your own office staff,
or client. You
send
them
a
highly compressed
voice dictation
as an email. This alone
will be much faster to communicate. If a reply or authorization is required
for any dictation you have sent,
simply receive the completed documents by email
into the QuikScribe Wireless Recorder
where ever you may be.
Store any of your standard letters, precedents or recording formats into the
recorder, you can even record answers to some standard questions that can
appear on the screen of the recorder. Basically an “Answer the questions that
appear on the screen prompt”
Set up anyone away from the office but still be in total communication at the
same time
