This page is available for existing clients that have software support options. You may be able to download the latest drivers for your digital dictating system. We offer two options. 1. Update to the last software version available for your particular hand held recorder 2. Update to the last software version available for your particular PC based software. All of these updates are generated from our
website but occasionally will take you to various suppliers websites as well.
Please note that any agreement you have is with ABP, not our suppliers so if any
questions or if any assistance is required you must contact our office.

Vista upgrade information
Before upgrading to Vista you
should read the following. Software upgrades are only available to software
support clients.
DS 2000 moving to Vista
The Ds2000
uses the V6 DSS
upgrade only so to go to Vista you first need to load this V6 DSS, then download
7.01. Then download 7.02. It must be carried out in this way.
DS 3000/AS3000 moving
to Vista.
The software that came
with the Ds3000/AS3000 is not Vista compliant.
The AS4001 or 4002 has
to be loaded first as this will take the software to the initial V4 DSS pro
software, then an upgrade of the latest DSV4 pro software with Vista drivers
will be required. For clients that may have already downloaded a previous
upgraded call the AS4003 and 4004. This is not the 4001/4002 as stated above
and was only like a small step upgrade. An upgrade to the AS4001/4002 will
be required first then an upgrade to the latest DS4000/AS4000 software will
be required. and is only available for clients that still
have the DS/AS3000 software loaded. If no DS/AS3000 software present the
upgrade AS4003 and 4004 will not download and / or run.
DS4000/AS4000 moving to
Vista
The only software that
will operate within Vista is the latest DSS pro software version 4.9.3. This
may not present be supplied in the box but is available via an upgrade.
To load
the MAC update.
Load the
CD as standard.
Find the
normal DSS player software and go into it.
Drag the
patch you have downloaded from the link listed above into the DSS folder.
Then run
the patch from within the folder.
If you
don’t do this many issue may arise.

To format LFH 9600 digital recorder The following will delete all voice files on the recorder so make sure all files are downloaded first. This is suggest to be carried out several times a year to clean the memory card of any corruption. Press menu, Scroll down using the – key till to see SETUP Press MENU Scroll down till you see FORMAT MEMORY Press MENU Press the button under ENTER Press the button under OK After formatting is complete press the button under BACK to return to the start. Turn machine off. Formatting is completed. To view the current FIRMWARE LFH 9600 digital recorder To view detailed information about the Digital Pocket Memo and firmware version, press and hold the MENU button for several seconds while stopped. The FILE information screen will be visible and by pressing the INFO button you can toggle to the CARD followed by the DEVICE screen. To upgrade FIRMWARE in the LFH 9600 digital recorder Description:Follow the instructions below to make sure that the firmware upgrade for your Digital Pocket Memo device is performed correctly: 1. Make sure new batteries are inserted into the Digital Pocket Memo or the DPM is powered through a power supply during update. 2. Switch on and connect the DPM to the PC. 3. Download the firmware file by clicking onto the ‘Download link’ and copy this *.dpm file to the root of the memory card placed in the DPM. Note: - Do not copy the *.dpm file to a CD-ROM drive as the file will be marked read only. - When working with MS Windows 2000 the actual file transfer to the memory card might take up to 40sec. 4. When the file has been fully copied to the DPM disconnect the USB connection to the PC. Do not switch off the DPM. The upgrade will start automatically. The LC-display of the DPM will show: NEW PHILIPS SPEECHEXEC PRO SMART KEY installation: LED is green: Valid full license is on the smartkey In this state the smartkey behaves the same as the old dongles, the smartkey needs to be attached to the PC for the software to work. While green, you may download the license to the PC and the smartkey will turn orange. LED is orange: The full license has been downloaded; a 30 day license is available once. In this state the license is on a PC and the software will start without the smartkey attached. If the smartkey is orange, you may upload the license back to the smartkey turning the smartkey back to the green state. LED is red: Both the full license and demo license, have been downloaded. The Smartkey is blocked. No further upload possible. In this state the smartkey is locked and will need to be sent back to Philips for factory re-set. Please note: The 30 day license is for disaster recovery situations only, once this has been downloaded the key is locked. If the client intends to use the software on multiple PCs or home & office, we recommend leaving the license on the smartkey (green state) Do not connect an orange smartkey to a new PC when installing 5.0 as the software will attempt to install the 30day disaster recovery license and lock the smartkey. What do I do if I have a customer with a red smartkey? There are two scenarios that will cause a red (locked) smartkey: 1. The smartkey is locked however the full license is on a PC – this will occur if after downloading the license to a PC, the customer attempts to install on another PC while the smartkey is orange. In this case the smartkey will need to be sent to Philips to re-set to orange state, or we may be able to re-set to orange via a remote connection to a PC with the smartkey attached at your premises (we will not be re-setting smartkeys at customers sites directly) 2. The full license has been destroyed – this may occur if a customer’s PC/HDD crashes, they replaced the PC and re-installed on the new PC using the 30 day license. (i.e. they have no access to the original license) In this case the smartkey will need to be returned to Philips for factory re-set to the green state. Citrix drivers Version 2 Vista upgrades for Philips hand held digital systems. Tips when installing SpeechExec under VistaDownload: Philips:- To upgrade to a Vista driver you must have the computer already running SpeechExec Pro Version 5. You can not upgrade from the original Philips SpeechMike Executive 3.2 software. You need to purchase SpeechExec Pro software. Then download the latest patch that will be a web link download.
